Are you a cosplayer? Do you wish you were a cosplayer? Do you just like to dress up and run around for fun? I do. I love making my own costumes. It's a shame I'll be working this Halloween, so I won't get to do anything cool (really, really sucks), but I can still wear my costumes whenever I want.
Here's two costumes I made for Gen Con last year: Taokaka (from BlazBlue) and a Magic Knight (from the Disgaea series). I only have these two pics, but when I have enough free time and a buddy to take pictures, I'll do a formal photoshoot.
I'm the one on the right, in case you couldn't tell. It's a shame you can't see the plates and the awesome boots, but I'll get pics of those another time.
Here's a little sample of some of the work I put into my Magic Knight costume:

- Spoiler:
- The boots were really fun to paint First coat of white
First coat of green on the heels. Starting to look awesome!
Finally finished! Took 3 coats of white and two coats of green, plus the blue stripe down the centre. These boots are seriously my favourite part of the costume. xD
Sen and his dad helped by making the metalwork for the Magic Knight costume. Here it is before we put it together. So exciting!
The aluminum is so dirty, eww. xD
Dad-in-law drilling holes for the rivets.
That drill is so awesome; I want one.
I buffed out the plates, and now they're all pretty and shiny!
We held the plates together with cleacos while they were cleaned and buffed, until the rivets were ready to be put in.
